Excellent Quality 711L

Great for holding 1/4" hex bits for all configurations of fasteners. Works well in Leatherman multi tool and the flat bits. I like the small hole in the tang or handle that allows me to tether cord the tool so it doesn't fall between the mechanical parts making it difficult to retrieve. I purchased for oil filter cap screw removal. This flex head 1/4" socket wrench by 711L makes it so much easier to do the hard to access tasks often associated with mechanical maintenance or repair. Thank you 711L

Check all the boxes

Small? Check Fits multitool? Check Thumb wheel? Check Allow for double ended bits? Check Turns from screwdriver to wrench? Check Every other tool on the market forces me to play the "you can only choose 3 out of 5 requirements" game. I only have pocket space for one device and this one's it.

Far superior product to the Leatherman ratchet driver

This ratchet is formed on the end of the handle to fit in the Leatherman bit driver and the bits fit in the driver socket head. Far superior to what Leatherman designed for Leatherman Ratchet Driver, and the quality and toughness far exceeds Leatherman's product......this ratchet and the non flex head ratchet are totally worth the money, and if I happen to break one i would orer and buy the same exact one.

Buy it

This is excellent. It reminds me in both quality and performance of something made by Wera. This is infinitely better than the one sold by Leatherman in every conceivable way. You get a better quality product at a cheaper price. It has no cheap plastic parts and is completely made of metal. It’s also more versatile (than the leatherman ratchet) because you can set the neck at different angles. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Well engineered fits perfectly

I have a number of items by 711L and they are always well made, look beautiful and can be practically used for real life jobs. This works perfectly on the two Leathermans I have tried it with the Surge and the Arc and I have used it in real world heavier duty situations on the Surge. It was handy on some initial roof repairs when I threw the Surge in my tool bag to do a quick recon on the damage. It’s not something you’re going to use to really power a screw out but it is a really good extension to have to have for a multitool when you want to work as light as possible. If you are hesitating about buying, then don’t, its good, and you never know when a tool will come in handy.

Affordable but useful

This goes well with your multi tool. If you can't get the leatherman's ratchet then this is the second best thing to get.

Perfect compliment

Perfect addition to compliment my Leatherman. I use it with my wave and ARC and have had no issues. I do get plenty of questions on where to buy it.

It’s cool, and it functions!

It’s soooo tiny! Add it to your Leatherman stuff on bike trips. This and a few deep sockets will be a good repair tool kit for bicycle enthusiasts.

Good quality with useful adaptations

711l are good quality niche tools. All the ratchets I have from them are well made. If you need a small form bit driver with options, like leatherman compatible or a keyring, then this is worth the purchase.

Excellent build quality.

This thing is tough. Like, extremely tough. I have had 1/2" ratchets that have sheared teeth easier than this. The flat Leatherman end can also fit in a screwdriver for extra leverage.

The toughest EDC ratcheting wrench

I was on the fence about buying a second wrench, but I'm glad I did. This wrench will last longer than me on this earth. I have 711L wrench with the swiveling head for my Leatherman, and I recently upgraded my fabric holster to ZapWizard's nylon holster for my Arc (highly recommend by the way), and unfortunately it only fits the non-swiveling version. If you need a ratcheting mechanism on your EDC wrench, get this one. I prefer the swivel-head version, but both are great choices. Suggestions for improvement: (1) the forward reverse toggle can be tighter, I will knock it inadvertently while using the tool. (2) I wish the detent fitment was tighter, as the bit will often come out while removing it from a fastened bolt (I know that only one orientation has the detent). I also with all orientations did, since my leatherman bits are flat.

Pairs great with a Leatherman Multi Tool

Perfect accompaniment for my Leatherman Charge, and will fit any similar tool with a flat bit holder. Works with both flat and normal screwdriver bits, I wouldn't expect it to survive a great deal of torque, but it's good for light duty work. Quality and presentation very good. Ideal gift for anyone who owns a Leatherman Multi tool.

More durable than you'd think.

I used this little guy to disassemble a rusty bike and a 45 year old set of Honda carbs. Quite the little beast.

Great Addition to the Leatherman!

It's a great little addition to a multi-tool. Save your wrists from constant twisting. Looks and feels good. All metal parts and nice sounding ratchet for being so small. Can't beat it for the cost. It's going to be good for smaller screws, I wouldn't use it on something that needs to be tightened hard, but simple small screws that don't need a lot of torque is perfect. Mind you this tool only works with multitools that have a removable bit. If you don't have that, this tool is useless because it won't have a spot to connect to. It works with the Leatherman Skeletool, and Wave Plus. If you have a rebar, sidekick, or Bolster, you're out of luck.

Tiny but mighty

Excellent for getting into a really awkward spot no other tool would really fit. Saved me having to fully dlssaemble an engine. Well built and despite being tiny felt substantial and had no concerns that It might not be upto the task. I didn't use the l eatherman functionality but a quick test fit shows It works and feels quite secure so suspect it would be absolutely fine. I'm not really the EDC type so can't say much on that front other than it's supper compact (which Is what I needed It for).

Better than Leatherman

This is much better when compared to the leatherman version. It feels stronger made and so much smoother in both operation and switching directions. Fair price and a solid tool. Would recommend.

High Quality EDC item a must have !

As always great quality items from 711L this one no different came with a carry zip up pouch which has built in magnet to secure other items of kit and it's a hard shell one, ratchet has a nice feel and is nicely engineered with good quality finished. I recommend 711L kit to anyone looking to add to the Leatherman tool Wave, Charge or Surge set up, I do own a leatherman ratchet bit but the 711L is a step up from it in finish and quality but that’s just my 2 pennies worth.

High quality tool

If you're interested in this item, you probably looked at the Leatherman Ratchet driver first. You also probably watched all the videos and reviews online. I can confirm this tool is high quality. Definitely higher quality than the leatherman version (i have both). Why higher quality? Well it's an all metal build. The ratcheting action feels very very precise and satisfying. I don't know exactly how many teeth this ratchet has, but it must be more than the leatherman when comparing the twisting action. Packaging wise, i can confirm this comes not only with the tool, but the red keychain piece (seen in the product pics) and two keychain loops. Even the cardboard box it comes in has a premium feel to it which is a nice bonus. Slotting the tool into all my leathermans (wave, surge, and skeletool) worked perfectly. The only real downside is it's bulkier than the leatherman version so it won't fit into any of the sheaths. But on the other hand, you can slip it onto your keychain and you'll always have a ratcheting driver! Good buy if you're willing to spend the $$ for it. Definitely a buy once cry once purchase.
